Now we (my boyfriend and I) are trying to decide whether or not to get her a playmate. We found a 2 1/2 year old Husky at the Humane Society. The boyfriend said it would be my decision but he just called me and asked about Angel. (the one at the Society)

Well, now Kim.. I saw your post on whether to get the other dog, and now that I know her name is Angel (my name as well) I must say you should DEFINITELY get her! Kia would love a playmate.. cats don't make very good ones for fun loving dogs. I don't know if there really is a better time to get a second dog or not. There is always a transition period that might be rough (unless you are very lucky) But since Kia is still new then this might be a good time - that way the two might grow together in their new environment. I am no specialist in this field. Those are just my novice thoughts. Good Luck.
