I just saw this thread. how very scary!
how is Sterling now? I know how you feel, the weekend are the worst when you have pets, and one is sick..
our er vet is on the other side of town, you are lucky to have yours close.

the crazy things cats do! Louise used to eat the tails off mice, I would find all these tail-less mice and wonder what the heck, then I saw her eating one, I took it away. but the others never seemed to bother her, and I never "found "them.

a tail is different than a toy, I hope kitty will be ok.

How is Sterling today? Paws and fingers still crossed here that he is able to pass the toy.

So far, so good. No toy in a poop, but he ate normally today (a.m. meal) and acts exactly like himself......so we wait......

If it is catnip and fabric like cotton he could have digested it. I hope he'll be better soon.

Sterling is still fine. He ate his normal amount tonight. The vet never said anything about digesting it, but I am sure at least the catnip part is digestible. They just said it sounds like something that would pass through. I can't say that I've seen it, but he acts normal. And again, the symptoms of blockage are not eating, and he is, throwing up, which he is not with the exception of a tiny bit last night, and not producing poop. Well, I know that he did on Sunday, but I can't be sure about today. (hated locking him up when he seems so healthy.)
Will definitely let you know if I find anything or if he turns for the worse.
Thank you for all your thoughts.

Simon ate a little furry toy mouse one day and I just about passed out… I took all his furry mice away (and he had lots of them) and put them in a draw. Well, this is just over a year ago and Simon still knows where his furry mice are…
    Keep us posted
Paws and fingers also crossed over here

Well, it's been slightly over 3 days since the toy eating incident. I think Sterling is going to be fine. (But exactly WHEN do you stop wondering?) Sorry for the false alarm.

So I assume that nothing as passed yet??
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
