Tubby will "sniff" me with his cold little nose, but will only lick if I've been sweating and my skin is salty. Or, I've found out that he likes Icy Hot! I sprained my elbow or something and I've been putting Icy Hot on it. Tubby will not let me pet him afterwards until he has licked all the Icy Hot off my hands. Needless to say I've now adopted the routine of washing my hands after the Icy Hot and before petting Tubby. That stuff smells so horrible that I'm amazed he would even consider licking it.
