I LOVE CAPE HATTERAS!!!! We went their on our honeymoon, and last May, we returned for our 5th anniversary. We are planning on going again in 2 years. The neat thing about Hatteras is that you can get the sun rising over the ocean and setting over the sound. I just wish it wasn't such a far drive...it usually takes us around 24 hours. The storms there ARE pretty scary. I sat out on the deck for a while just watching the lightning...it was awesome!
