What a handsome, sociable, sweet as can be Shih Tzu boy you are, Charley! You sure know how to turn on the charm, don't you? hehe No surprise to hear what a hit you are in the 'hood, charming all who cross your path with you adorable looks and sweet personality! You've never met a stranger, right Charley?

It's funny, when your kids are young, you know all the neighbors. Then the kids grow up and you lose contact, especially with the new ones. Now that I have a dog, I know all of my neighbors again. Walking a dog lets people know you are a friendly person.

Just one reason why we love doggos, your ability to bring people together! Yep! Thanks to you, your Mom has reconnected with the neighbors and you've made a lot of new friends too, no doubt, maybe even turning a dog denier into a lover for life! What a fine ambassador for doggie adoption you are, Charley!

What a momentous day that was, 8 years wonderful years ago, the day your Mom flew all the way to CO to check out prospective pups, the day she got the "all clear" and flew home with you, her tiny treasure, tucked under the seat! And the rest is happy history!

We had to prove we were compatible and so we went on a three-day fishing trip with Nancye and her three dogs in her motorhome. We bonded right away. He flew home with me, under my airline seat, and we've been best buddies ever since. He has the BEST manners and everyone says , "Don't forget to bring Charley with you when you come!" What a love!

How lucky your Mommy is, having a fur baby as precious, as sweet and loving, and yes, as well mannered as you, Charley! (You're even kind to your stuffies, hehe) In looks and in heart, inside and out, you couldn't be any more special if you tried; perfection on 4 paws, that you are, Charley!

Thanks for the BIG smiles, cutie pie! Meeting you today...reading your Mom's love filled tribute, your heartwarming, happy homecoming story; learning of the very special bond of love and trust you and your Mommy share and being treated to your heart-melting photos has been pure joy! I hope you're treated to a very special Dog of the Day celebration, sweetheart...taking a nice, long walk (after fueling up, lol), charming all of your adoring friends and fans in the neighborhood; meeting up with your pals at the park, playing ball; cuddling with your bestie, Bear; helping your Mom with her gorgeous sewing creations; receiving tons of cuddles and kisses; being loved and pampered to pieces, treated to all your heart desires and more! Lots of love, snuggles and smooches to you, precious Charley, our very special and most deserving Dog of the Day, EVERY day!!!

Dearest Charley, you are adorable! What a beautiful Shih Tzu guy you are, with that gorgeous fluffy colorful fur and that sweet face with those floppy dark ears and lovely big dark eyes. Thank you for sharing those great photos with us! You are absolutely perfectly posed on that quilt with the colors that go so well with your coloring. And aren't you ever the most loyal fan of the USC Trojans!

And what a story you have to tell! Your dear mom went all the way to Colorado from her home in Long Beach, CA to find just the right Shih Tzu. She met you, you fell in love with each other, and you flew Home with her under her airplane seat. You've been together for eight years now, and what fun these years have been! You follow her around the house, waiting and resting when she gets busy with something. And you're the hit of the neighborhood, making friends all around on your long walks and connecting mom with the neighbors again. You and she love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
