Hi Shawkat! Happy Cat of the Day, cutie pie!

Awww!!! Kitten cuteness overload alert! You are just too precious for words, sweetheart!!! What a beautiful Tuxie girl you are, Shawkat! Those pics your Mom included with her heartwarming tribute, your incredible story of survival, your rags to riches tale have my heart in mega meltdown mode!

My eyes got all teary, reading your Mom describe how she came to find your tiny, helpless self on her lawn, abandoned by your furmom, near lifeless. We can't thank her enough for coming to your rescue, opening up her home and heart to you, doing everything required to save you! And oh my goodness, just look at you now! How well those round the clock bottle feedings, her unwavering devotion have been rewarded, having been blessed with a furkid, a daughter as special as you; each and every day repaying the kindness and compassion shown you ten fold, bringing so much comfort, joy and love to her life!

I couldn't sleep at all, I had to wake up every two hours to feed her and I failed a course in college because I didn't have time to sleep or to study. But it was worth it and I'm really glad she made it.


As for those biscuit making/kneading sessions? No worries, Mom! That's every kitty's way of expressing their contentment and sense of well being, so enjoy! YOU made that happen!

What makes her special? I don't know if all orphaned kittens do it or not, but since she opened her eyes and starts to walk, she was simulating to be nursed from her mother, she puts her whole face in my belly or between my body and my arm, and starts to purr and acting like she's drinking from her mother, whenever she does this I feel very bad for her.


What an extra special girl you are indeed, Shawkat! Your fighting spirit and will to survive is truly an inspiration to us all, your sweet and loving purrsonality a joy for all kitty lovers to behold! You truly are a treasure, sweetheart, a gem, one most deserving Cat of the Day!!!
