Dearest Cooper, what a beautiful lady you are! That brown-black Tabby and white fur is so pretty and looks so soft, and you have the sweetest face with those lovely big emerald-green eyes and that cute little beauty mark by your nose. You look so proud and dignified sitting up and looking straight out at me. I wish I could reach through the screen and over to Omaha to pet you! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrson will pet you for me .

And what a nice story you have to tell! Your first person got you as an eight-week-old kitten. When you were just a year old, he had to move away and leave you behind. Fortunately his Mom, who wasn't a cat-person, kitty-sat for you before the move and decided to keep you. You joined your new Mom and Dad and two big dogs, and you soon made Mom a cat-person in addition to the dog-person she already was! You went through a lot of adjusting that first year, with with new people and doggie housemates and vet visits and shots and surgery. And Mom and Dad and the dogs had a lot to learn, too!

We're very glad and grateful that you all adjusted so well to your new life. You now rule the house and family! You're very small and pretty, the most exceptional kitty. Mom loves that wherever she is, you're right there with her. You come when called, and you keep close by. You have your own patch of catnip and spearmint to play in in the garden, and you sit by the pond to watch the fish. You've never "fished" for any, but you did chase the toads away! You stole your family's hearts. You and they, humans and canines, all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

Congratulations, darling Cooper, on being chosen today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Mom and Dad and doggies and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

Hello, Cooper in Nebraska! Happy Cat of the Day!

I smiled as I read about how you converted your first person's mom (would that be your grandmeowmie?) into a kitty person! You joined her, dad and two dogs - and now you are in charge! You even have your own place in the garden with catnip and mint, how purrr-fect is that?!

You are a very beautiful tabby kitty, too! I like your white coat with the darker markings, and your l-o-n-g white whiskers! Beautiful!

Happy, happy Cat of the Day to Miss Cooper!

Aaahh, I have been defrosted! Thank you, Bonny and Asiel!
Brrrr, I've been Frosted! Thank you, Asiel and Pomtzu!
