Dearest Finn, what an utterly adorable American Lop Rabbit you are! That orange-brown-white fur is so pretty and looks so very soft, and what a sweet face you have with those lop ears and cute nose and lovely big dark eyes. You were an impulse purchase for your dear people, and they say you ended up being the best impulse purchase ever! You have the most delightful personality. You enjoy playing with your stuffed burger, you react to your name being called, and you love to snuggle with your humans. You and they all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

And thank you for sharing those great photos with us. In that one of you lying on your side, are you looking for a tummy-tickle? If (and ONLY if) you are, I would be delighted to give you some light finger-tickles on that tummy!

Congratulations, darling Finn, on being chosen today's Independence Day Pet of the Day! We hope you and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine, safe July 4 celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats, maybe some special mint and cilantro!

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

Congratulations, Finn, on being POTD. You are precious, adorable, photogenic, cuddly ... And VERY lucky because thousands of "impulse pet purchases" end up homeless at shelters, which is where all my beloved pets were living. (Learning all about a big-or-small pet's health/nutritional needs and proper care prior to adopting is the best way to go.) Sending best wishes for a long, happy, healthy, fun, safe life, Sweetie. http://www.guineapigsrfun.net *OPT TO ADOPT HOMELESS PETS FROM ANIMAL SHELTERS*

P.S. SAFETY FIRST! Cats are dangerous to rabbits— some more than others. Cats are predators and hard-wired to prey on species such as rabbits. While not all cats have a strong hunting instinct, every pet owner should always assume their cat may predate on a pet rabbit and never leave them together unsupervised - a fatal accident can happen in a split second (there are thousands of heartbreaking true stories about this subject).
