Hi Bentley! Happy Dog of the Day to you!!!

Oh, what a most precious Pug you are, Bentley; what a welcome sight your adorable, sweet, smiling self is on this dark and stormy morning! Your photos are beyond heart-melting! (Love that your Mom is wearing a mask during these scary times!)

I have to admit, my eyes filled with tears, reading your backstory, your Mommy's love filled tribute, your and your Mommy's story of mutual rescue. I cannot imagine how painful it was for your first Mom to surrender you, packing up all of your belongings, saying goodbye. Clearly you were very loved! And oh, the sadness you must have felt, believing you were being abandoned...beyond heartbreaking.

But I will never forget the look Bentley gave me when his first mom walked out of that door and drove away. He laid on the floor and I swear tears came from his big bugged out eyeballs. He spoke to me with his sad little soul and I knew he felt abandoned. I promised him, never again.
But your first Mom knew with your new Mom you would be loved and cherished, forever and always, and how right she was. What a beautiful bond of love and trust you and your Mom have forged over the past many years, Bentley. To say you were a life changer would be an understatement, opening up her life to a whole new world!

He has become my peace. He is my therapy dog, in so many ways. When I feel stressed out or overwhelmed, he finds a way to make physical contact and I can feel my heart slow down...
He is a blessing to me. I guess I technically saved him when he needed a home, but the truth is he saved me

A heaven sent blessing, that you are, Bentley; the light of your Mumsy's life; her furry soulmate; her north star!

Great thanks to your Mom for sharing your heartwarming, inspirational rescue story with us, giving us a glimpse into the wonderful life you and she share. How lucky she is, having a furkid, a teacher and inspiration, a best friend in you, Bentley! You truly are a treasure, and so very deserving of your big day of honor! I hope you're enjoying a very special Dog of the Day celebration, sweetheart...participating in some doggie yoga, hehe; enjoying some time exploring those beautiful canyons with your Mom; being loved and pampered to pieces; treated to all your heart desires and more!
