Greetings, Dobbin! Congratulations on being crowned Pet of the Day, and how very deserving you are!

I was so moved, reading your heart-wrenching, heartwarming rags to riches rescue story, sweetheart. I'm so, so very sorry to hear of the abuse you suffered at the hand of your former "owners!!!" Thankfully your hero rescuer found her way to you before any more harm would come to you, and the rest is happy history!

Dobbin was abused by many owners and has a lot of trust issues. I worked with him for a whole year to gain his trust and build his confidence again. Dobbin was terrified of everything from a bag flapping in the wind to me moving my arm a little too quickly.

Endless thanks to your lady for her devotion and her patience, giving you all the time and "space" you needed to heal, emotionally and physically. Your amazing transformation is testament not only to the healing power of unconditional love and unwavering devotion, but your indomitable, fighting spirit! It never ceases to amaze me, the ability of our animal companions to forgive, to learn to trust after having suffered such abuse and enjoy life to its fullest! You truly are one brave, beautiful boy, Dobbin, a true survivor!

I work at a 4-H farm and I use Dobbin all the time to show people that every horse is good for something; just because a horse is a little banged up and mentally abused, as well as physically doesn't mean he should be thrown away. Dobbin and I do our best to show others that with just a little time, patience, and love any horse can be great.
