This is a picture of my tabby boy Auggie. Born in a gopher hole in Carbondale, Illinois, he now resides in the Washington DC metro area. What makes him special? Since a toddler/kitten Auggie actually strikes a pose when he sees a camera, as evident from this picture.

Auggie is a fiesty and affectionate cat. He loves to have his face rubbed, and as I pet him he uses his paw to position my hand on his face. He is mischievious and will often be disobedient, wait for me to yell and go leaping merrily away. I named him Auggie when I found him because when I looked at him, I could see a little boy with a baseball cap place backward on his head and a slingshot in his pocket. Although a tabby he has a lot of Asian - maybe Siamese - in him because he talks a lot. And has a distinctive voice. He has added to the quality of my life and is genuine in his catness in every way.

Auggie is my heart.
