Dearest Bruno, Happy Dog of the Day! I also learned so much about you from your dear Auntie Randi, and it is a pleasure to meet you "in person," so to speak, now! Thank you for including all those terrific photos. Your beauty and your love and your pure joy in life all come through so very clearly in them all!
And what a heart-rending but then uplifting tribute your dear mum has written about you! I was horrified and revolted to read that description of your early life in that awful puppy mill. My deepest thanks to that wonderful woman who saw you there all alone, rescued you from that horrible place, and brought you to your first Home and your first experience of Love. And then, more of my deepest thanks to your dear mum and dad for welcoming you into their family after your rescuer was no longer able to take care of you. God bless them all for giving you the home and life and love you so badly needed and deserved, and for giving you all the time you needed to adjust to all the wonders and comfort and safety of your new life! My deepest thanks to all these good people, and my deepest thanks to you too, Bruno, for showing what a precious, strong survivor you are, an inspiration for us all!
Now you are living the terrific, delightful life you deserve and you deserved all along! You are a calm and happy boy (except during fireworks or thunderstorms), and you're very friendly with visitors. You have a touch of arthritis, so your dear parents bought you your very own memory foam bed, but you prefer to sleep at the bottom of their bed and cuddle up! They also bought you your very own big pool, which you really enjoy in hot weather. Though you've slowed down a bit with age, you still enjoy your daily AM and PM walks in the park and the wood, during which you can run around and chase your squeaky ball. You're also quite the flirt with the lady canines you meet, and you even have your own girlfriend down the road, who visits often! You and your mum and dad all love each other very much, don't you. Seeing you happy means everything to them! What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Bruno, on being chosen today's Dog of the Day! We hope you and your dear mum and dad and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats, maybe a special serving of sweet potatoes with lots of different vegetables and meats, along with a few Denta sticks. I know Bonzo Angel and Maisy Angel are rejoicing with you at the Rainbow Bridge!
