    Thank you, your comments help a lot. She is my best friend and was the one cuddling with me when I felt lousy after chemo. I've read it is a good plan to do medication for 3 months to see if kidney problems crop up, if all is good then can do the radioactive iodine. I'm thinking this is how we will proceed.

    That's good to hear that you already have decided on a treatment for Cali. I think it's the ideal solution, no daily medication.

    Cali has hyperthyroidism

    Cali is hyperthyroid, confirmed by our new vet.

    Have the weekend to contemplate treatment. Believe we'll start with prescription food over medication. Leaving the radioactive iodine for later.
