Why She's special: Oh where to start? Luna just turned two on November third. For a young kitty, she is a wild child. Always getting into mischief and always curious. You have a box? There's a Luna in it. You have a bag? There's a Luna in it. You just brought home groceries? There's a Luna pushing the stuff out to make way for her! She loves to eat, always acting like shes starving even if she just ate minutes before. Maybe I am biased because I love cats more than life itself, but she does some really cute things that melt your heart.

When she was still very young, she was so wild that we weren't even sure if we could handle her, but she began to develop adorable quirks like jumping in our fridge, jumping in the dishwasher when we loaded it, even falling asleep in the cutest positions.

One: You're in the bathroom? She's at your feet, meowing and begging for pets. Two: You open your bedroom door, she's rushing in before you can even stop her. Three: She loves to bolt from one side of the house to the other like a rocket. Don't get in her way! She loves to play in the sink, but don't push her too far in, otherwise it becomes no longer fun to her.

She loves to toy with our dogs, making them chase her down. She loves to tackle her older sisters, though she usually loses the battle. She absolutely loves toys, string, anything that moves quickly. She is the most playful cat I've ever owned. She lets my bird, Crona, push her around, despite the bird being the size of Luna's head!

I got Luna two years ago after a bad break-up. I was devastated and needed something to get my mind off of it, and at the time, my Grandparents' cat just had four kittens, Luna being one of them. She was the only black one in the bunch, and I knew, regardless of her gender, I had to have her. Lots of begging and pleading later, I brought her home, and now she's my precious baby. I don't know what I'd do without her. She was my light when my life was shrouded in darkness.

I love my Luna so much, I even got a tattoo to represent her on my arm!
Hello, lovely Luna up in Ontario! Happy Cat of the Day!

What a busy lady you are! You are two years old and still very kitten-ish! You play with the dogs and the bird. You enjoy playing with toys, string or anything that moves quickly. You run the occasional kitty sprint - look out, here she comes! You have learned the rule about kitty and person not being on opposite sides of a closed bathroom door! You like the sink and sometimes the dishwasher, too! You check out a box or bag. You inspect groceries to see if there's anything for you!

What a gorgeous lady you are, too! Your fur looks so glossy and soft to pet! You have lovely, gem-like green eyes! You are one of four kittens and the only blackie girl. Best of all, you helped your person get through a difficult time. You are a very greatly loved kitty!

Dear Luna, I hope your person will give you some extra hugs, snuggles and pats for me, because you are precious! Happy, happy Cat of the Day!

"That's the power of kittens (and puppies too, of course): They can reduce us to quivering masses of Jell-O in about two seconds flat and make us like it. Good thing they don't have opposable thumbs or they'd surely have taken over the world by now." -- Paul Lukas
