Dearest Bruno, what a good-looking fellow you are! You are so handsome with that thick, shiny, soft-looking Tuxedo-colored fur and that sweet face with the long, LOOONG white whiskers that start out black, and those lovely big golden eyes. Thank you for sharing all those great photos with us. You are absolutely gorgeous in every one of them, and you look so comfortable and regal there around your domain! I wish I could reach through the screen and over to Warwick, RI to pet you, and rub that tummy you roll over to display (only if you want it rubbed, of course). I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrson will rub it your tummy (only if you want it rubbed, of course) and pet you for me .
And what a delightful, heartwarming story you have to tell! You were homeless and showed up one day. You were afraid to come close to the Purrrson, but you loved the food she/he put out for you each day. As time went on, you lingered longer and longer after meals and became more trusting. Finally you decided to adopt your new Purrrson! After a vet visit and some repairs, you moved in, and since then, you've never left the yard. You are now a very big and very happy cat! You love getting a drink of water from your dear Purrrson's hand as you get your head bathed. You love to romp and play in the yard and nap on the bed. You roll on your back and show off your belly in appreciation of a catnip treat. You and your dear Purrrson love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Bruno, on being chosen today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Purrrson and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
