There really is a lot you can do to make the anxiety go away if it is something that comes and goes for you. I used to get really anxious when I had to do anything new, even jury duty! What worked for me was my faith. But there are lots of things, like whenever you have a stressful situation, you can repeat a phrase in your mind over and over until you calm down. i had a dr appt after my road test. I can take the road test again in 2 weeks, but I am not ready for it

I'm suprised the dr. didn't recommend you at least see a psychologist for a few visits. They can help you get to the root of your fears/anxiety. Not to diagnose you, but do you have a problem with confidence? Maybe this is something you can work on and in time, your anxiety will go away.
