Miss Kitty ate well this morning. We went to see her (and my) favorite vet. She had lost 1/2 pound since last month, but that was to expect. The vet listened to her heart and found no murmur, hooray!
Her theory is that, after Miss Kitty's inappetence and diarrhea, she became dehydrated, which affected her kidneys. We'll never know what caused the diarrhea, but it seems resolved (her last poop was Sunday night). I just have to watch her for constipation (which she has dealt with for several years).
I gave her some more SQ fluids, and she's supposed to stay on anti-nausea meds.
So overall, she doing pretty well.
Thank you again for all your well wishes and positive thoughts. There's no doubt in my mind that you all helped Miss Kitty (and me).

Good news, if her kidneys have no lasting damage. Yay Miss Kitty and Meowmie!

Right now, Meowmie has a giant knot in her stomach because she messed up.
Miss Kitty hadn't pooped in 4 days despite a fairly good appetite, and I was concerned about constipation, so I gave her a half dose of her lactulose. When I came home today, I looked for her poop, and there was none. So I gave her another half dose, and right after that, she had a diarrhea blowout, probably caused by her first dose.
What I didn't know, and what my boyfriend (not mad at him) didn't tell me until I told him about the diarrhea, was that Miss Kitty had pooped in the afternoon. I would have never given her that second dose.
So her vet told me to bring her to work for fluids tomorrow so that she doesn't get dehydrated again.
Everybody, please listen to your veterinarian! I didn't and Miss Kitty is paying.
    So at myself.

Oh, Heidi... We do everything we can for them, and sometimes it still isn't quite what was needed...

Miss Kitty knows how much you love her and how hard you work to do everything right for her, and she loves you as much as ever and will get over this.

We all are sending our hugs and purrrs and lovies and good wishes and warm energies to you all.

    Thank you, Pat.
I think we dodged a bullet. At this point, no diarrhea, good appetite and she seems to feel ok.
So I did not take her for fluids. If necessary, I can drop by the hospital tomorrow.
