Okay, just tried something. Sandra - tatsxxx11's signature picture was missing. I "right clicked' it - said "open image in new window" ... and it gave me the name and place of the image "http://petoftheday.com/talk/signaturepics/sigpic713_2.gif"

I went to Google, and search for exactly that - and it found not only what I recognized as her signature image, but a couple more - one from Carole, husky_mom, and a third I didn't recognize.

I was able to save that image, and reupload it to the correct spot and now it shows up in all her posts.

So if you have missing images that end in a .gif or .jpg, try googling for them, and maybe you will find them!

Sadly the images in my album look like this "http://petoftheday.com/talk/attachment.php?attachmentid=56567&d=1370999818" so Google didn't find it.

But it is worth a shot, I obviously cannot do that for every single missing image, but you all can for the ones you notice! If you find any, and want me to upload them, let me know!

Just seeing this. I got on here yesterday after being missing for awhile and wondered what was going on. I'm so sorry Karen that you're having this issue.

Thanks for all your work, Karen!

Concerning albums, I'm a little confused. Some of my albums are there, and some not. In the ones that are there, not all are showing up. Can you enlighten me on this?

It also seems that uploading pics work different now, but perhaps it's because I have another computer with 10.11.6 on it - I'm not very impressed with that. Everything worked better in the old days!

Everything in terms of album images is from 2012 and before. Anything newer than that is likely lost, sorry to say. Images are not backed up as part of the softwares normal back-up protocol, and have to be done separately. You can, however, add pictures back in, if you have the originals on your computer somewhere.

Those threads still exist, I believe, but the index listing may be different. When I get a chance, I will look for them individually.

Karen, I was checking birthdays and noticed that the calendar went back to December 2015. Not a high priority as far as I can tell, but just so you know.

Karen, I gather from some things you have said that you have reached some Kansas contacts?

    Fingers crossed for the best!

".... or the "basement boy" thread about Eddie" - the thread about Eddie's rescue doesn't show up either, it was called "Looks like I'm foster mom," by Tubby and Peanut's mom. Elyse, I have the picture of what Ediie looked like when Debbie first got him.

Not me, but that seems to be a dead end without spending money for a court order.

So here are all the 2000 ones - Randi, sometimes your titles are a bit off, but here, I am certain, are the threads you mean:

    2000

    Rub*Zap*Ouch http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=3415
Help - how do I help a paralysed dog http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=3632 and Good bye, Bella http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=3498
Frito Feet No explaination needed. - http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=2619
    Dog Haiku - http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=2777

I will do one "year" of these every day, okay?

Thank you, Karen! I'm sure some of us oldies will want these threads to stay, if possible. I will try to find and upload the missing pictures.
