The thing is ... We didn't save her, we believe that because of her personality that she would have found any good home at that point, one that would have loved her almost as much as we do. But she picked us, and I believe the universe was at play, she's brought such a joy to our lives, and to everyone that knows her. She saved us.

Happy Dog of the Day, precious Darla! I'm in tears, picturing your beautiful little face peeking into your family's storm door that dark, rainy night! You knew just where, and with whom you belonged, didn't you Darla? And it wouldn't be long before your family would realize that too! I can't begin to imagine how a so called family could treat a furkid as beautiful and sweet as you so heartlessly, abandon you without a second thought! But their loss is your family's great gain, for the love and joy you have brought to their lives these many years is truly a heaven sent gift! As your mommy says, you saved them (spiritually and physically!) every bit as much as they did you!
