Dearest Haku, what a stunning, sleek ebony kitty you are! You are just adorable, with that so-soft-looking fur with the little white spot on your chest, and your sweet face with those lovely yellow eyes. What a great assortment of photos you've posted! Thank you very much. And I trust that is your big sister Ivy with you in the one picture? I wish I could reach through the screen to Sparta, NJ to pet you both! Since I can't, I know your loving and beloved family members will pet you both for me .

And what a sweet story you have to tell! It was delightful to see your family's previous kitties on the 1997 Pet Talk site. I bet Mungo Angel (and no doubt Zanie Angel too) had a paw in you suddenly realizing these were just the right Purrrsons with just the right Furrrever home for you and you running to adopt them right away! You demonstrated your skills as mouse hunter when you first came home. Now that the mice are extinct (at least in your home), you enjoy snuggling on laps and playing chase in "Kittyapolis 500" with Ivy. What a wonderful love-filled home you all share!

Congratulations, darling Haku, on being selected today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and Ivy and Mungo Angel and Zanie Angel and your special Purrrsons and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats, perhaps another run of the "Kittyapolis 500" followed by kibble and wet food treats (but no human food!).

Happy Cat of the Day, beautiful Haku!

What a beautiful, stunning black beauty you are, and such a sweetheart to boot! (Those Haku baths must have been awesome!) What a fine job you did, Haku, selecting your forever humans! Kitties have a 6th sense about these things, and by all accounts a kitty couldn't wish for a more caring and loving forever family! You even got a kitty sister in the deal in Ivy! (No fun running the Kittyapolis 500 by yourself!) You truly are one extra special kitty, Haku, and your family so very lucky to have a best friend, a loving companion in you! And no doubt your beloved predecessor Mungo, a Cat of the Day alum herself, is looking down on you all from the Rainbow Bridge, sending you her love, giving you the big "2 paws up!"

Thanks for ending my day with a big smile, sweetheart! Hope you and precious sister Ivy are enjoying a super duper, fun filled day of celebration, being spoiled rotten! Lots of love, cuddles and kisses to you, beautiful Haku, and to dear sister Ivy, too!

P.S..Just read your mommy's update! Wow, a full 13 lbs! hehe No more shoulder rides for you! And I just had it confirmed by my Japanese husband...Yep, white it is! (That's too funny!)
