How cold is it where you are?

They've been delaying school opening in Poughkeepsie because a lot of the kids walk to school. I'm kind of two minds about this: the 9 year old mind waiting for the bus when it was this cold, and wish they had delayed school; and the "get off my lawn" mind that says cowboy up, I did it, so can you!

LOL, kinda like walking down hill and sledding back up or the old, I walked to school uphill, both ways.

I used to laugh at the news clips of people walking around in single digit weather, all wadded up in nylon, cotton and spandex.

What do they say about 'pay back'?

I got into the car, drove it for about a mile and a half up the street when I realized the AC was on.

The AC was WARMER than the 'Heat' setting in the car.

I got to my destination and the car STILL wasn't warm....

At 10.00pm it's all of 10 degrees here in Trenton though the best is yet to come. Temperatures will continue to drop during the overnight and we'll have a record setting 1 degree by morning commute time. Counting the wind chill, it will feel like -19 below.
