Dearest Otis, what a beautiful, sleek ebony kitty you are! You are stunning, with that shiny black fur with the white patch on your chest, and your lovely green eyes. You look like you are full of energy and mischief. I wish I could reach through the screen to Chicago to pet you, and Stubby and Indy too! Oh, well, since I can't, I'm sure your loving and beloved Meowmie will pet you all a whole lot for me .

I have to say that my favorite stories are when they are told from the perspective of the cat. Love those cat caption pictures too! I see lots of people writing that their cats love plastic bags (mine do too from time to time) and just wanted to let you know that apparently it is not only the feeling of it, cool against their skin, it is also the oils that the manufacturer uses to make the bags not stick together in the store. Cats smell and like to lick the oil - my vet said that it is sometimes showing an acid problem in their stomachs and this oil helps to relieve it. However, I did have a vet who wouldn't believe me that my cat had a plastic bag fetish (we all know that it happens though don't we!).

Hello, handsome blackie kitty Otis! Your coat is so sleek and shiny! What a gorgeous kitty guy you are! I smiled as I read your biography and learned about all the things you like to do - such as waking your mom at 4 AM for breakfast , playing with Q-tips, hunting for surprises in the cabinets, and especially having fun with Indy and Stubby! You have an important job, too- helping foster guests feel safe and welcome with you! But especially being your beautiful, wonderful self. PURR-fect! I would love to gently pet you ... since I can't (I'm in DuPage County), I hope your mom will give you some extra petting and lovies for me ... some for Indy and Stubby too, please! Awww, Otis is a guy after my own heart, sounds like he keeps very busy around home! So glad he's got lots a buddies to play with and a mom to try and keep him a tad in line. Alas, I have to hide all the plastic around here, as Mia chews it every chance she gets! Brats, what would we do without 'em eh?

You sure do have a way with words, Otis, and those words doubly delightful when it's a self tribute as entertaining as yours! What a character you are, Otis! But seriously? You can open the freezer door? Not even any of my food obsessed Labs have been able to manage that one! You and Indy truly are partners in crime! What a scamp, what a love bug, what a most deserving Cat of the Day, EVERY day, you are! If anyone out there should hesitate for a moment, regarding the great rewards of rescue, they need only met you! How lucky your family is to have you in their lives, Otis! You're the bomb!
