Hello Ralphie, it's a pleasure to meet you. What a handsome boy you are! I really like the photo of you with your lion cut; I'm sure it was much more comfy for you in Florida temps. I used to have a long haired cat and he got a short cut for NC summer. I am so glad you two found each other and love each other. I hope you have many more happy healthy years ahead. Congrats on being COTD!

Handsome tabby kitty, Ralphie! Your person kept an eye on you during the project, and when there was some time off, he knew it was time to rescue you! And you sure did, too! You are such a beautiful kitty guy - how wonderful that your person helped you regain your health and become a loved kitty guy! Happy Cat of the Day to wonderful Ralphie!

    Precious Ralphie!

Happy Cat of the Day, precious Ralphie!

If your daddy's heartfelt tribute to this best buddy, his rescuer, doesn't bring a tear to your eye you don't have heart! Your daddy's my kind of guy, tough on the outside, but a total mush on the inside, a trait you sensed on day one! We can't thank him enough for rescuing you, for providing with with all the care needed to heal you and make you whole again! (Love your "lion/Florida cut,", and don't you look festive in your Christmas scarf!) You truly must be one very special, extra special kitty, Ralphie, to have been named after your grandpa, and every day you do your namesake proud, bringing so much comfort, joy and smiles to your daddy's days! His beautiful spirit lives on in you; what a legacy!!! What a team you and your daddy make, two souls in need finding their way to one another, a case of mutual rescue! And the rest, as they say, is history! How blessed your daddy is, having a best friend, a furry soul mate, a loving companion in you, Ralphie! You're a teasure!

Thanks to your dear daddy for sharing your heartwarming story with us, Ralphie! Meeting you has been one of the truly bright spots in my day! Enjoy your big day on center stage, sweetheart, being loved and pampered to pieces by your wonderful daddy! Love, cuddles and kisses to you, precious Ralphie, Cat of a Lifetime!

OMG, what an awesome haircut Ralphie had!! I always wondered what went on at the bottom of long, stripy fur. I got say he looks just as brilliant with the haircut as he does with his natural do! Ralphie is a magnificent cat in every way, so glad his life is the very best now and filled with love! We're just mad about Ralphie here

I second everything this poster said - this is my favorite kind of story on the Cat of the Day website. It really warms my heart as a volunteer for too many year for cat rescues - hoping one day there isn't such an overpopulation that we need so many shelters and rescues... I hope you and your dear Ralphie have many many happy healthy years together. Bless you for rescuing him and giving him the loving home all cats deserve.
Please have your pets sterilized as soon as possible to lower, and one day hopefully eliminate, unwanted and abandoned pets. It IS our responsibility. Adopting from a shelter also helps - encouraging breeders just adds to the overpopulation.
