My cat Star is an angel ... who was resting on the couch the other day, being adorable, so I had to take her picture! She's about twelve years old, a very old cat actually! Star is the sweetest thing; she loves to cuddle up next people and sleep on them for long periods of time. She loves to eat cheese for some reason, and she can smell it from far away. So not think her age has dulled her sense of smell - open a package of cheese and she is your best friend! And she is still going strong at age twelve, so who are we to argue that's she's supposed to be a carnivore? We love her quirky old self very much!

Sweet, adorable Star! What a gorgeous kitty girl you are! I would be happy to serve you a treat of cheese (my kitty loved to eat it too)! Or to sit perfectly still for a chance to snuggle with you, beautiful girl! Happy, happy Cat of the Day to dear Star!

Oh, what a stunning, most photogenic Tabby girl you are, Star, and how perfectly named, for your truly do *shine!* And you just happen to share a name with my beloved Rainbow Bridge Lab, my angel, Star! Your photos are exquisite! How lucky you, the consummate kitty model are, having such a talented photographer for a forever mommy in Amy, one so capable of capturing you in all of your feline glory! Having said all that, it's hard to believe you're 12 years young! You don't look half your age! And being so young heart, still "going strong," no doubt you and your mommy have many, many more wonderful years to look forward to! How lucky she is, your mommy, having a furkid as beautiful (inside and out) as you in her life, bringing so much happiness and love to her days!

Belated congratulations to you dear Star on being COTD. What a beautiful Tabby lady you are! We loved reading about you and seeing your wonderful photos. You are very photogenic indeed!

Hope you enjoyed your special day of celebration and international stardom. Hopefully, you had a bit of cheese as part of your celebration. One of our kitties, Capella, also loves cheese. Like you, she comes running whenever there is cheese :-) Her favorite seems to be Asiago!
