Candace, I gave you a link to heron's on Facebook, did you see that? I suggest you contact them directly for more info.

Hi Sandie, yes, I posted several images on their FB page. Thanks!

I'll head over there in a bit and see if anyone responded.

The metal one - do magnets stick to it? Does your mother remember when or where she got it? Are there any marks on it at all?

First of all, a friend checked with an antique appraiser and he said the Heron's ones were by Patrick Heron. However, all I can find is paintings, paintings and more paintings. One of his daughters is a sculptor but does large installations.

And Karen, a magnet does not stick to the heavy cat at all.

ETA: found one, although the Heron's label is not on it! http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Cat-Kitten-Figurine-Statue-with-a-Jug-Pitcher-of-Milk-Made-in-Britain-4-Tall-/181538944151?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a44907497

Does the gold-ish color of its feet look painted on, or is the grey painted on, and that the actual color? Maybe it is brass!

Is the heavy cat the one with the milk jug?

The sculptors with name Heron that I found also did large sculptures, not miniatures.
