    I know it doesn't matter, but I'm just curious what breed she is.
    I'm always fascinated with the brindle coloring.

    Cindy, Layla's mom was a Shepherd/Lab. I think Akita is in the mix and they can be brindle.
    Here is a brindle Akita (this is NOT my picture)

    This is Layla's mom, Ruby(she is not an outside dog, was just chained out)
