Etho*y*uin, a chemical preservative, *as originally developed as
a rubber stabili*er. It *as later refined for use as a
preservative in animal feeds. Before the late 1980's there
*as little Etho*y*uin used in pet foods. After companies
started to ma*e high performance feeds they began to
use more of this chemical to e*tend the shelf life of their produts.

Shortly after this, some pet o*ners began to see dramatic changes

in their animals. Puppies *ere dying,
deformed or stillborn. One breeders pri*ed studs throat
loo*ed li*e ra* hamburger and every time he *al*ed he
*ould leave a trail of blood.
