    Friday's Cat Fred

What a handsome guy you are. Your Momma is going to want you around for a long time, so tell her to keep the dental floss out of sight. Some cats are like that, they will eat anything stringy they can find. I have had a problem with carpet on cat scratching posts. After they scratch it up real bad, the clear stringy stuff from the backing starts sticking out everywhere. I have seen several of mine eating that, so I am constantly trimming it off or I just don't let them have that post anymore. Also, some of them want to chew on brooms. All bad things for kitties. They cause bowel obstructions, so all cat owners need to watch for this. That kind of stuff does not necessarily get barfed up. If you've got a chewer, put everything like that away. Cats are like people, they all have different personalities and qwerks. Congrats on Cat of the Day. I wish you and your Momma many happy years together and God Bless.

Dearest Fred, what a stunningly handsome fellow you are, especially all dressed up in your bow-tie! Such beautiful soft-looking grey and white tabby-patterned fur.. I just love your front toesies dipped in cream! And your long white whiskers, and your red-brick-colored nosie, and your sweet face with such a look of love and happiness in your lovely yellow-green eyes. In that first picture, you've got that wonderful smile such as only cats can do. And no wonder.. you know what a wonderful home and family you have, don't you! I wish I could reach through the screen down to Arlington, TX and pet you.. but since I can't, I am sure one of your loving and beloved family members will pet you for me .

And not only are you handsome, you are so much fun to live with, too! You love to play, and to sleep, and to stalk imaginary prey from box forts, and to admire your own good looks by strutting around and by staring at that unnaturally beautiful reflection, and to eat all kinds of yummy things such as bacon and waffles and green beans .. just DON'T eat any more floss! And don't swallow any strings you play with either! We know your loving family members all want you around for a long, long time to come.

You also have a very sweet and friendly disposition. You greet visitors with your tail raised high, and you've never met anyone you didn't like.. and you especially like them if they come bearing food gifts. You also thoroughly enjoy the nighttime cuddling sessions with your dear Purrrsons. What a wonderful love-filled home you and they share!

Congratulations, darling Fred, on being selected today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine day of celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats, maybe even a special cup of catnip tea!

CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

Sir Fred of Arlington, you are an extremely classy fluffball! What a handsome gentleman you are in your grey and white coat, and your purr-fectly gloved white paws! You greet everyone who visits. You keep tabs on everything and everyone from your box forts, excellent work! Then it is time for a snack, maybe a waffle, green beans or bacon. I would love to pet, hug and snuggle you, beautiful boy! Happy, happy Cat of the Day to you!
