The bed is quite crowded, with dogs and cats. They do allow me an 8 inch strip, right on the edge.

I have fallen out of bed more times as an adult with pets than I EVER did as a child!

That's so funny you say that! I was actually thinking about that just the other day. Only problem is....our bedroom doesn't leave much space for steps. The only place to put them would be the foot of the bed, then that would leave a small walk area between the steps and the sliding glass door. And I would probably break a couple toes on the steps and/or the dresser.
She likes to sleep on a very flat pillow I have on the floor on my side of the bed. Plus we have two other dog beds in the house as well. And you know I would help her up there if she really needed me to. She can get down fine, it's the jumping with the back legs that presents the issue. But she can still do it! For now.
If it comes down to it I'll just have to get her a better bed to go next to the bed.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Let's see. LilGirl sleeps in her bed in my bedroom. Sissy sleeps on couch in den. New boy kitten George slept with me for 7 nights (I slept very little) until it was ok for him to be with Sissy in den. I was so happy when I moved George to the den with Sissy and brought LilGirl back to her bed in my bedroom. In previous years I let Luke cat sleep on the bed with me and I just found it difficult to move & sleep.

On most nights we have both dogs and at least 1 of the cats on the bed with us, but if we're lucky all 4

I think we need to upgrade to a king...

Out of all the dogs that have owned me Alfie is the only one that has been allowed to sleep on my bed, and that is only since last October when Ebby went to the RB.

For a small dog he takes up a quite lot of space, though he does leave me some.

The only one allowed to sleep with us is Martha the cat, and even then she isn't one prone to cuddle. She spends most of the night perched in the window keeping guard.

I don't think it would be a good idea if Zack slept in our bed for one he couldn't get on and if he did there would be no room for us,
