    Dearest Berry, what an adorable Tortie girl you are! My adorable Tortie girl Poppy is looking over my shoulder at you and admiring you greatly. (She is always thrilled when one of the Tortoiseshell Sisterhood is honored as COTD!) You have such beautifully-colored so-soft-looking fur, and that face with the pretty green eyes is so sweet, as you settle down to read the New York Times. I wish I could reach through the screen to New York City and pet you and rub you under the chin and on your tummy.. But since I can't, I'm sure Meowmie and/or Marbles will give you some pets and chin-rubs and tum-rubs for me .

    You are not only stunningly gorgeous, Berry, you have the most delightful Purrrsonality. You and your humans are so well suited to each other. They clearly have their priorities right, don't they.. you got first crack on the name that sounds like "barry," so Dad is now known as Marbles. You make your Purrrents smile with your antics, such as playing your own version of "fetch" depending whether a toy or a treat is the object to be fetched. You are also a very sweet girl full of affection, who loves to sit on Meowmie's lap, roll over, get tummy rubs, and purr. What a wonderful love-filled home you all share!

    Congratulations, darling Berry, on being selected today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and Meowmie and Marbles and all your friends are enjoying a fine day of celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.. perhaps even another round of "Fetch" played with your favorite treat, followed by a tummy rub!

    Congratulations to you dear Berry on being chosen COTD. You are a very beautiful little Tortie Girl and we loved reading about you and seeing your photos. You're obviously a very sophisticated little lady, since we noticed you were reading "The Arts" section of the newspaper You are most deserving of this great honor.     Had to laugh!

    Aww! Berry! My tortie girl IS named Marbles. She was named by the San Francisco Animal Care & Control people and because she is all marbled (aren't all torties?) she name stuck.

    Our Dad loves Tortie Cats , our first Cat was the much beloved Pouncer who passed on in 1993.
    She was a Great Cat as was Pouncer Roccalno who used to come around for food, but lost her life due to a car.
    You were a Wonderful Kitten Berry.

    And is if it is possible are even more an Enchanting Cat.
    When Our Dad was actually young something very special was a Berry , and you Berry The Cat are something very special indeed, a true MagnfiCat
    Lady.

    Beautiful Berry, tortie kitty, reading the New York Times! I like the rules for your very own special game of fetch -- depending on whether we're talking about a cat toy or a yummy treat! But oh, I REALLY loved learning how you came to be named, and your daddy RE-named! But I'm sure Marbles didn't mind one bit, relinquishing his moniker to such a special girl!
