Okay, right now, we are having the odd day - 57° F and pouring rain - so yes, with all the snow we had - slush happens!

Warm (40 deg) this morning, then dropped like a stone. 27 right now, windy, and supposed to hit -5 by morning.

By the way, when did 25 MPH winds become "breezy" in forecaster's lexicon?

Right now it's a tropical 42 degrees and raining in Trenton. Weather reports say the temps will drop to 15 degrees by the afternoon rush and by tomorrow morning we'll be back to sub zero cold. They're also saying this is the coldest weather we've had in 20 years.

Was -6*F at 8 this morning, and windy! Not sure what it is now.

Some people believe holding on and hanging in there are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go, and then do it. --Ann Landers

-13F (-25C) in Chicago. But it is brightly sunny, which is a pleasure to see even though it is very cold.

Man, the midwest is really getting cold temperatures. It's colder in Illinois and Indiana than it is here in Prudhoe Bay (-2F).
And we're on the Arctic Ocean! Huddle up by the fires. Hope it passes soon.

It reached 14 F last night and 9F the night before. It was still freaky cold both mornings at 10AM.

I was worried about mechanical failures, but the reason for the delay was for child safety. It doesn't get that cold here and even the 20s it's not for long. Most people do not have heavy coats or sweaters with hats and mittens. I have a heavy coat because of the blizzard before my mother's funeral. So a lot of these kids were outside very underdressed.

Today's high of 41 felt balmy. I even took off my coat for a few hours.

It will be high 50s and low 60s by the weekend.
