Whenever I've changed the name of a rescued pet I always try to choose one similar sounding as not to confuse her/him, and in Teena your human hit the perfect blend! What a wonderful thing your mom/dad did, choosing rescue, and there's no doubting that you and your parent make for one heavenly match! You and she/he have only been a family for a short time, but already the bond of love and trust you two share runs deep, with so many more happy years to look forward to!
