After a week of below freezing temperatures and a trecherous snow and ice storm last Saturday, it hit 67 degrees today and we're looking at 70 degrees tomorrow. So much for the first day of winter, my favorite season.

Yeah, the newly revealed "treasures"! But we had only enough melting for the minor stuff, and one small patch of grass lout back, much of the actual ground is still snow-covered for now! And, by the way, the "Melting Day" can be sung to the tune of "I Saw Three Ships A'Sailing In," one of the old Christmas Carols I still find pretty silly, even now. Um, kid was born in a stable in Bethlehem, which is after all, in a country/region that is - whatever it is called in whatever century - mostly desert.You know what comes after "melting day" for dog owners don't you?
