Oh my yes!!! I HAVE seen this, from my cats (not limited to kittens!) many times over the years. When I go over to check, darn if I can see a darn thing, ha ha haaa.

I have seen both of mine staring intently as "something" on the floor and then either pouncing or jumping away. Never do find out what it is.
