Wow, we have had similar lives with our kitties. I just lost my guy at age 18 in May; he also had some renal and colon issues, but still had a good life to the end. I hope you and Hobbs are together for a while yet, good luck to both of you.

Thank you to everyone who is replying! Hobbes and I appreciate every one of you. Knowing people care about us is very important. )))))) I've never had a bond like this with all the animals I've had over my lifetime, and I've had several. All my companions have been loved, but because Hobbes is older, I've developed even more a bond with him. Right now he is sleeping on my bed...I can see him from the living room where I'm in. He sends all his purrrrrs your way!
