He needs to take "lactulose", which is a human medicine, but it works very nicely for cats. My vet prescribed it for my Mr. Jinx, who almost died from megacolon. After being on lactulose for about a year, he has been doing very good for the past few years without it. I also rub his tummy every day, that helps him too, and he likes it.)
