Thank you all for your kind words about my kids!
Velvet is a very calm bunny and will let me carry him anywhere, and yes Nomilynn, I can kiss him on the nose. He and Emma weigh just over 6 lbs and are a good size but we have buns out at the sanctuary that are much larger so he doesn't seem large to me. His is soooo laid back I have always said I could dress him in doll clothes and put him in a baby stroller and he would let me take him up and down the street. To my regret and fear he is now showing several signs of being a very old bunny and I'm trying very hard not to get worked up about it...but it is difficult to see him starting to fail.
Quickly, let me tell you his background....I got him 4 1/2 years ago when he was turned in to the sanctuary....His age was estiamted to be betw 2-3 yrs at the time but the owners were unsure. He belonged to a young girl - 9 yrs old. Her dad had died some months previously and her mom only had a few months to live. The little girl was going to go live with her aunt. Can you imagine being 9 yrs old, in such circumstances and then having to give up a beloved pet on top of all that? That he is such a wonderful, calm bunny is a great testement to her...she raised him right!
And yes, I have pictures of Casey, Noah and Chocolate who didn't get their pics professionally taken and am sending them off to Heather. Hopefully you will get to see those 3 a couple of weeks from now. It was just too difficult to take them all out to the store to have the photos done and I had to make a choice. At the time Casey was ill, Noah hadn't arrived yet and Chocolate has already had her photo prof'ly taken..short story long about why they were left out.
Which brings me to a thread I will post shortly.....what kind of cameras do you all have that give you such great animal photos?
I get lousey pic's with mine. Any advice appreciated!
