Welcome to PT, Eleanor!!!! You are absolutely adorable!
Breed guesses...she really looks like a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. But her ears are longer and floppier, like a Cocker Spaniel.
Whatever she is, give her a kiss for me!![]()

If each pet we love takes a part of our heart and replaces it with a part of theirs, my heart is a very strange collection of pieces, but I wouldn't have it any other way
Some people believe holding on and hanging in there are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go, and then do it. --Ann Landers

Eleanor thanks you guys for the compliments. I thought her named suited her too. It was between Eleanor and Delilah. I don't think her ears look anything cocker spaniel. They're v-shaped drop ears set too high on her head, not lobular ears set at eye-level with a domed skull. Retriever ears. But you did get that part of her right anyway. Her mother was aparently a purebred basset hound and her father (they think) was a cocker spaniel/golden retriever mix. In the right light you can see a faint brown mask on her face that gives the hound away. I found her brains last night too; I'd been looking for them. She suddenly started to get the hang of sit, lay down, and how to shake a paw, although she'd had some work with "sit" before I got her.
