Aww, so sad you had to give up Misty! I hope she went to a good home! Maybe you should just concentrate on saving money up now, instead of getting another horse right away? Is there any nearby farm you could work to earn some extra cash, or in exchange for some fodder? Farms usually have a lot to do this time of year ...

    Re: Please Help.....

Well no, this horse is in Wisconsin and I am totally willing to go that far for him, because I'd rather travel far for a great horse than barely go a few miles and get a cheap trail quarter horse. The price they are asking is very reasonable but it is just the distance that bothers my folks. and my twin sister is also getting one. Unfortunately she is abusing the situation even though I went through loss, frustration, blood, sweat and tears to give us the opportunity, and she still neglects it. She wants to get a horse at a local stable and if my Dad finds out there are some horses for sale there he will force me to get one there too. She isn't much help either. I just don't know how to convince my parents to drive me there and get this horse - it really bothers me about how they are treating me after I lost Chester and now Misti

I am sorry about Misti and Chester, I really am. No one deserves all that heartbreak, but if it's your parents decision, you're lucky to even be getting another horse. You're lucky your parents have offered to pay for everything as it is. I know that seems mean, but if it's their money they can tell you to do whatever they want. Things have a way of working themselves out and I think you'll wind up with the right horse you want in the end.

I remember when I was younger being promised a horse, until my parents realized how expensive it was. I took horse-riding lesson and did a few little rodeos and stuff. I loved all of that but unfortunately, never got my horse.

I'm going to pick up Dasher's ashes today My heart is still so heavy and sad. And I'm still crying a lot. I miss him so much. I'd give anything to have him back with me.

My DH goes for an angiogram tomorrow. The cardiologist has to negotiate three bypasses and two stents in order to do the test. Please pray he has a steady hand and the results are good. We are both terrified. It would help too if we could be finished in daylight as it is over an hours drive and I don't see well in the dark.
