I've been finally defrosted by cassiesmom!
"Not my circus, not my monkeys!"-Polish proverb
I got Mac through a smuggling operation. My supervisor at the school I worked for at that time had poofed this pretty orange boy from her neighbors, who were abusing and neglecting him. She brought him in to work, asked everyone if they wanted a kitty, no takers, so she left him with me while she went to get him a littler box and food. Of course he stayed on my lap and wore me down (it didn't take long). I'll bet somebody at work will want to adopt him when he is old enough. I still have Mac (or does he have me?) 11 years later.
Proud to be a crazy cat lady!
Yahoo! One of the vet techs is going to "foster" for a few weeks and then a good friend of mine is going to adopt the little one. The vet said that other than a great deal of flea dirt (but no live ones!) and the need of a bath, Demon looked and acted perfectly healthy. They agreed with my guess that she is about 3 weeks old, weighed in at just about 1/2 pound...and I definitely had the most popular office yesterday. Even some of the guys I work with were coming in to visit when they heard there was a kitten in here. It was so funny to see them turn to puddles of mush![]()
I'm glad to hear that the kitten is healthy and that you now have a vet tech to take over so you don't have to continue to do round the clock feedings. It's also great that she now has a forever home.I wonder which one of your neighbors put her in the box and then brought it to your home? Do you have any guesses? I wonder what happened to the rest of the kittens?
