It's the 4th of July!

Happy July 4th to all my American friends here on Pet Talk,on America's 237th Birthday.

And thank you, SAS, for the cautionary notes about the effects of firecracker noise and disruption and other "celebrations" on our beloved pets and the other animals out there. I hope the word gets out at least some, hopefully more each year. God bless.

My kitty Sparkler got that name because she was born close to the 4th of July!

HAPPY 4th EVERYONE!!!

I can't wait for the noisy fireworks to stop. Some one who lives very close by has been setting off noisy fireworks since last Friday night. Some of them sound like pipe bombs because they are so loud. This morning at 2am a loud boom noise woke me up. Yes, it was another firework. It's been so hot here that I keep all of the windows and my sliding glass door open through out the night because I don't have AC. I'm sure tonight is going to be a very noisy night.

Thanks,but yes they are getting scared. They're so loud this year that I'm also getting scared and mad at the same time. I wish I could do something about it. It's against the law to even have fireworks because it's so dry in CA this time of year and they can easily start fires. I've even heard that some people have decided to shoot off guns now too. The police are supposed to be out in full force. Maybe these people will finally get caught and fined. I can only hope.

Maybe, with luck, or AS IT SHOULD BE, the police will crack down. I hope it won't take a serious fire to make people realize this is a problem that must be brought under control.
