Even if am on my desktop computer, I always log out of Gmail, Facebook and any other account one I am done with that session. The only exception I make is for Pet Talk, but I KNOW that one, and can type it in when away from my desktop machine when necessary.

I adhere to all of these precautions. The only one I was ever lax with, was not signing out of my email account when I was done. However, after having it hacked several years ago, I began the practice of signing out - not only at the end of the day - but after every session.

Don't wait until tomorrow - the hands may then be still.

I do the same here--never stay logged on anywhere. I close my accounts and reopen each and every time I use them. Not worth the trouble if someone hacks into your stuff.
A few years back I got a very bad virus, still have no clue how I could have picked it up since I only open mail from people I know. But my computer, crashed bed, everything froze ,and what a jumbled mess, I was very lucky to have my son reload everything for me...lost a few things but fortunately my pictures were shuffled around but all there intact.

The worst virus I've ever experienced was...at work! Someone else's account at work had been hacked and stupid me I opened the link. Oh, well...I wasn't alone. Some people opened it more than once!
