I had one of the first stereo VCRs back in the 80s - A Panasonic.
I fell asleep with the dog and the remote on the bed.
Woke up and it was in pieces......I managed to get it back together and spoke to a woman whose husband owned a video store.
A new remote was 50 dollars.
Needless to say, I had a remote with the top chewed up, the wires to the batteries held in place by the contacts and some tape to hold it together.
It worked until the day the deck gave up the ghost...............

Dogs do need a lot of care and it sounds pretty good that your dog has recovered this incident. ALso one may treat ones dogs with really some delicious food prepared at home.
