Oh, dearest Scaredy (no more) Cat, what a lovely, sweet boy you are, and what wonderful humans you have who were so patient to win your confidence, starting out leaving food outside and slowly gaining your trust so that you came inside and finally graduated to settling in, even sitting on your Purrrson's lap! What a saint he or she is, and such a deserving kitty you are of all this attention!
And how nice that she/he was even able to get in touch with your original owner through your microchip, letting him know that you were still alive and well, after you'd escaped from their home and hadn't been seen again. And he said you could stay in your new home because you would not be happy back with them and their small children!
What a wonderful story about you, Scaredy, going from the desolate life of a stray kitty on the streets to the most wonderful home and the most loving, caring family you could ever find. God bless you all, Scaredy and family!
Congratulations, darling Scaredy, on being selected today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and your whole family are enjoying a great day of celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite treats and games.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
