Thank you all very much! The dogs and I spent the day with my parents, and what a great gift it is that at my age I still have both my parents and they're still living independently in their own home. It was a very quiet but a very special day.
Thirteen revealed last week on Oberon's birthday that he has learned to associate the singing of "Happy Birthday" with the fact that cake comes next. So when ever he hears "Happy Birthday," he launches into a frenetic happy dance in anticipation of getting cake. I discovered this on Oberon's birthday when first thing in the morning I sang to him, and 13 went nuts. He won't do this for any other song, and he won't do it of the lyrics to Happy Birthday are sung to a different tune. So he was definitely providing the day's entertainment!
