Well, sonce it's ice cream Thursday's, we'll get the ice cream maker going and make some REAL ice cream.

I'd offer Black Walnuts, but the trees out back are still too young. We were thinking about putting in a couple, and I was wandering around the back side of the pond last year and found out that the squirrels had given us a pair, so no need!

I don't need walnuts, I'd rather have a turn at the crank...It IS A HAND cranked operation, isn't it?

Growing up my parents made ice cream with a handcranked machine.

The running joke was, "IF you DON'T crank, you don't eat...."

No, we have one o' them newfangled 'lectrical ones.

Normally we have too much going on for someone to sit and crank on the ice cream maker, given that normally we use it in the summer, which means there are plenty of garden chores that need to get done in addition to making ice cream.
