I once shared my life with a sweetly devilish Himmy like Gatilla. Ever since, I've missed the blend of Persian gentleness and Siamese play. She used to sound like a little cougar when she'd demand attention, and of course I found it impossible to ignore her... especially when she'd jump onto my lap (never mind the book, newspaper, sandwich, or whatever else was there). Every time a nature program comes on TV, I remember her running to the screen and trying to grab the little critters. She was a comedian and never seemed satisfied if she wasn't doing something to get a laugh out of her humans. She'd go running from one end of the house to the other with that big fluffy tail of hers trailing behind, and she looked for all the world like an animated mop head. I'd go to sit in my easy chair to watch TV and would find her sitting there just the way a human would... but she was always happy to share. At bed time, she served the same function for me as a teddy bear does to a small child; I still miss her gentle snoring which used to lull me to sleep. In short, Himalayans are absolutely irresistable... and Gatilla is a wonderful representative.
