    Merlin

Merlin went in for a dental today. Two extractions and a biopsy later, he's home. Vet said he has an aggressive looking growth in his mouth and he's seen this type before. Very good chance it's cancer and if it is, I elect for no further treatment. I will just spoil him for the next few months or however long he's with me.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Oh dear. I hope beyond hope that it is NOT cancer. If it is, I do hope Merlin will be pain-free for a long time. I know he'll be spoiled rotten!

Slick, I sure hope it's not cancer. This brings back memories of my RB Sunny. I also decided to do the same thing that you have if it is the cancer. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent Merlin's way. Please take care. (((HUGS)))

Poor Merlin, having that nasty thing in his mouth. I hope it doesn't affect his eating. How old is he?

I go that route with mine, as well; just keep them comfortable, and love them.

Merlin, a dental and extractions?! You will be eating again in no time, kitty. Sending you chin rubs!

I'm so sorry Merlin is not well. Here's hoping the Dr gives better news after the biopsy.

Prayers and good warm wishes for dearest Merlin and for you too, Vicki. We are praying for promising news from the vet about the biopsy, but whatever it turns out to be, you and Merlin will continue to share your wondrous love for all the time you have together.. on this plane and for always.

    God bless you both.
