    I remember Weaver grew tomato plants in the ball park. I also remember when he'd get ticked off at the umpires and argue with one or more of them.

    He was worth the price of admission by himself.

    As for Stan "The Man" Musial - pure class. They must be happy in Heaven right now - to have Musial join the team.

    Baltimore deeply mourns Earl Weaver - he was one of a kind. My husband was speechless-Earl Weaver was 'the General' to the Orioles team we all knew the best. RIP Earl.

    So, so, so sad to hear about Musial. Fans here in St. Louis are leaving flowers and gifts at his statue outside Busch Stadium. He was not just a man of great baseball statistics; he was a great person too. He was a true legend that will never be forgotten.
