    Dearest little tabby girl Serena, we are so glad that nice man found you and took you home. We're so sorry your mother was not so lucky, and we hope your siblings were rescued. You have a wonderful human family now, who all love you so dearly and nursed you back to good health, so you can be the mischievous, energetic kitten you are! What fun to have a Dachshund friend to wrestle with! And you are so full of love, reaching up to touch your Purrrson's face with your paw, purring nonstop and cuddling any time, and no wonder, with so much love around you and in you! You know the true secret of life, don't you, sweet little girl, that every day is a gift and you cherish it.

    You are such a pretty little girl too! .. brown tabby stripes with a touch of orange. What a wise, thoughtful look in your eyes (probably you're dreaming up new games to play with your Dachshund friend!). And that picture of you with your tongue sticking out is so cute!

    What a harrowing start at life you had, Serena, losing your fur mommy at such a young age, with you left to fend for yourself in the wild! Thankfully your guardian angel led you to your kind and caring Daddy that day, and with his and your family's help, before long you were healthy and happy and so full of life, a full fledged member of the clan! What a serendipitous gift of love was given to your humans that fateful day your family found you, Serena; as your human says, a gift to be cherished forever! Your inspirational story is indeed a living testament to that adage that each day, and every creature, is a blessing to be cherished, never to be taken for granted! Yes, you are one happy, most contented purring machine, Serena, and deservedly so!
    Great thanks to your family for sharing your very special, very touching story with us...along with those gorgeous photos!
